Meet Anna

Anna Lord is a destination filmmaker who creates a moment in time that encourages you to sink into a dream.

A moment in time for Anna is observing as couples are given a chance to slow down & take it all in, watching the way the sun is setting & hearing the songs the birds are singing in the trees. Whether she is giving brands a voice to tell their story through a unique perspective of beauty or capturing love, Anna seeks out organic emotions & the beauty that surrounds her subjects, then shares this experience with those on the outside looking in. She invites you to peer through the camera with her as she creates artful works of motion that are authentic and timeless, allowing time to linger & highlighting each personal detail. This lover of languages understands the unspoken language of dreams & story-telling. She is a night-owl who reminisces on the people & places she has encountered through her travels as she makes her way to the next place on her list.

Following the years she spent in Northridge to get her degree in Fine Art & French, she lived in many cities in the United States & the South of France — both of which greatly influenced her work. The way she captures beauty has also been shaped by traveling, as she has been introduced to people in diverse places & cultures. Over the course of the twelve years that Anna has been working as a visual artist, her work has been featured in The Knot, Elle, The New York Times, Brides & Over the Moon — platforms that show her unique style & expertise.

It is not enough to know your craft - you have to have feeling. Science is all very well, but for us imagination is worth far more.

FAQ
Do you book multiple weddings on the same date?
No. I value getting to know your love story & vision for your special day. I want to be able to capture it as closely as you’ve dreamt it and what is true to the both of you. Of course, in any case of emergency, I have very talented Cinematographers who can take my place in filming your wedding day. However, I will still be the one editing your film.
How many weddings have you filmed?
I have worked in this industry since 2013 with over 150 weddings captured.
Can we customize the collections?
Yes, all proposals sent to inquiring clients are customized from the information provided during our consultation. Every wedding is different & every couple have different needs. All is customizable whether that be adding coverage, length of edits, etc. Please let me know if you have anything specific you’d like to talk about.
When will we receive our film(s)?
My turnaround time is 15-18 weeks from the wedding date.
What are the Ceremony/Toasts/Dance Edited Films?
These moments of the day are captured with multiple cameras (from different angles) and carefully edited together for the best perspective. The film will have high quality audio and covers the full moment. For example: the Ceremony video begins at the Processional and ends right when you & your spouse have walked down the aisle.
Do you have a preferred vendor list?
Yes! I have many artists in the wedding industry that I can refer to you; photographers, florists, invitation designers, etc. The biggest reason I’d refer them is not only for their expertise in their craft, but that our work compliments one another very well.
Do you pick the music?
Yes, I pay to copyright music from several sites. The music process is very involved as I take the aesthetic & pace from your day into careful consideration when choosing a song. I typically choose cinematic & ambient songs (with no vocals) that bring a sense of romance and nostalgia. I also edit the film to your song, so every editing decision is very intentional. If you do have specific songs or opinions about the song chosen for you, we can chat more about it prior to your event.

CLIENT REVIEWS

Christina & David - Married in Palm Springs, California
We love Anna! We didn't originally plan on having a wedding video, but when my father-in-law became unwell & couldn't make it we decided to do the video. She was quick to jump in & help. She's really friendly & asks a lot of great questions to make sure you get what you want. She made sure to come with the right equipment to capture audio, which not every vendor does, she's really on top of things. She was like a fly on the wall at the wedding, you hardly noticed her there which was exactly the vibe we were hoping for. We'd highly recommend her.

CINEMATOGRAPHY

Creative consideration and precision, the composing of a dance between lovers from behind my lens, my capturing of life and love coming together as one. This moment, far from fleeting, letters of endearment evolving into a sacred union as a result of pleasing connection and deepened knowledge of souls. Elegance and romance knip at my feet as art and film intertwine to exhibit fingers laced, manifested through my dream to travel the world through enchanting stories.
